It’s simple: we send you a 20 m³ truck with a professional driver. You load your belongings, the driver drives to your destination, and you unload. No nasty surprises, no kilometres to drive, no special licence to hold.
Everything. The truck, the driver, fuel, route costs, goods-in-transit insurance (at least 300,000 € per trip), 2h of loading and 2h of unloading. No hidden fees, zero deposit, zero excess. The price shown is the final price.
A traditional mover bills for a team of 2 to 4 movers. With MCAC, you load and unload yourself — we provide only the truck and the driver. As a result, you save 40 to 60% on your long-distance move.
In principle no: the driver handles the journey, and you load and unload — that’s what halves the price compared with a traditional mover. But yes, the driver can lend a hand as an option, at the foot of the truck only (never up the stairs), alongside the people you’ve arranged on site. This help is available only on the 20 m³ truck (+120 € for loading, +120 € for unloading).
Yes. Every partner carrier holds professional liability insurance of at least 300,000 € per trip. It covers transport-related damage (accident, theft, loss). Key condition: your belongings must be properly packed and protected before the truck arrives. Without adequate packing, cover does not apply.
Three sizes, all with a professional driver: the 20 m³ (studio to one-bedroom, up to 40 m²), our standard truck from 847 €; the 38 m³ (3 t) for a large move such as a 2-3 bedroom home up to 76 m²; and the 92 m³ (articulated, 24 t) for a house up to 160 m² or long-distance groupage. The tail lift is available on the 20 and 38 m³, and loading help at the foot of the truck on the 20 m³. The 38 and 92 m³ are offered on a personalised quote within 2h — see our trucks.
A 20 m³ truck matches a studio or one-bedroom home (up to 40 m²): around 40–50 boxes + bed, wardrobe, sofa, table + 4 chairs, armchair, 2 bedside tables, 1 chest of drawers, 2 bikes. Payload: 1,000 kg. Beyond that, a 2nd 20 m³ truck is needed. If in doubt, estimate your volume online or contact us.
Yes, it is required. Boxes closed and taped, furniture protected (blankets, bubble wrap), fragile items wrapped individually, appliances emptied and unplugged. This is the condition for the insurance to apply and for loading to be done on time.
The driver arrives at the agreed time with the truck. You load (2h included), the driver checks the load is secured for road safety, then sets off. You meet again at the destination to unload (2h included). The balance (50%) is charged to the card saved at signature, as soon as the truck arrives (a secure link is sent if your bank asks for confirmation).
Cancellation: the deposit paid (50%) is retained by MCAC regardless of notice (deposit regime, art. L214-1); the balance is not due. Changes: free more than 7 days before (subject to availability), 90 € between 7 days and 72h, not possible after that. Full details in our Terms.
All of mainland France and the European Union (no customs formalities). Destinations requiring a ferry (Corsica, Sardinia, islands) or a customs crossing (outside the EU) are subject to a specific quote — contact us.
